Terms of Service
Last updated October 6, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and CourtCity when you use the site or app. Using CourtCity means you accept them, so please read them. Questions go to privacy@courtcity.ca.
Who can use it
- You must be 14 or older, or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission.
- One account per person. Keep your details accurate, and keep your email account secure: it’s how you sign in.
Booking courts
- You can request and book court time through CourtCity. When a facility confirms, the court is yours for that time, under the facility’s rules for use, fees, and cancellations.
- For facilities that don’t take bookings in CourtCity yet, we link to where they do, and that site’s terms apply to that booking.
- If a facility has to cancel a booking, we tell you right away, with the reason they give.
Court information
- CourtCity builds its court listings from facilities, public open data, and reports from players, and keeps them up to date. If something is wrong, tell us from the court’s page and we’ll fix it.
- Busyness is an estimate from check-ins and past patterns, not a guarantee that a court is free.
Games and other players
- Hosts organize their own games and are responsible for them. Players are responsible for their own conduct.
- Sports carry a risk of injury. You take part at your own risk; play within your ability and follow the facility’s rules.
- Be respectful. Report players, games, or courts that break these terms.
What you post
- You keep ownership of what you post, such as game descriptions, updates, and reports. You allow us to store and show it in the service so it can work.
- Don’t post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, or misleading, spam, or other people’s personal information.
Facility accounts
- Only claim a facility you are authorized to represent. Claims are reviewed and can be refused or revoked.
- Facilities are responsible for their listing, hours, closures, and booking decisions.
Fair use
- Don’t try to get around limits or security, scrape the service beyond normal use, create accounts automatically, or pretend to be someone else.
- We may limit, suspend, or close accounts that break these terms, and remove content that does.
The service itself
- CourtCity is provided as it is, and features may change or stop. We work to keep it running but can’t promise it will always be available or error-free.
- To the extent the law allows, CourtCity isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
Ending
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Profile → Account & privacy.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes
If we change these terms, we’ll update the date above, and for important changes we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
